How to Make a Template
We know that every hair system salon or hair replacement centers have a unique way of making head templates. Ideally the way we like it done is the tape template method, which we find works really well for that perfect fitting hairpiece. But either way, if you have a different method, that’s OK! Whatever your method, send us your template and our technicians will understand and work on your template accordingly. For a full unit apply the application to the entire head. This application most always requires assistance.
Use an 18″ – 20″ square inch of clear plastic wrap to cover the top portion of the head. The key here is to press the wrap as closest to the head as possible.
Beginning at the forehead start placing the transparent tape on the wrap over the area of baldness. Remember to apply 3 layers of tape.
While the template is still on your head, use a sharpie or permanent marker to draw your pattern lines. Front hairline should be established by placing 3 to 4 of your fingers from the brow line.
If a part is desired, draw a line from a pivot point at back crown to the front hairline. Placement of the pivot point should correspond to what can be seen of your original growth.
